FSIB invites applications for ED, Nationalised Banks

The Financial Services Institutions Bureau (FSIB), which handles the selection of senior executives for public sector banks and financial institutions, has invited applications for the post of Executive Director (ED) in nationalised banks on a full-time basis for the financial year 2026–27.Candidates should be at least 40 years of age and have a minimum of three years of residual service, treating 60 years as the age of superannuation, as on April 1, 2026. Applicants must hold a graduate degree from a recognised university or an equivalent qualification. For candidates from nationalised banks, a combined service of four years at the level of General Manager and Chief General Manager is required. Officers holding only General Manager-level experience are not eligible. Officers holding the post of Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) are not eligible for consideration. For candidates from the private sector, a minimum of 18 years of experience is required, including at least 12 years in banking and three years at the highest level below the Board on a substantive basis. If an officer from public sector banks has been imposed two or more major penalties during his or her career, he or she will not be eligible to apply. Details of penalties, including minor penalties in the last ten years, must be disclosed. The last date for submitting the complete online application is May 15, 2026
