Eight IPS officers shifted in Punjab; Harmanbir Singh is CP, Amritsar

The Punjab Government on Tuesday transferred of eight IPS officers. Harmanbir Singh, presently DIG, Border Range, Amritsar, and holding the additional charge of Commissioner of Police, Amritsar, is posted as Commissioner of Police, Amritsar.

Gurpreet Singh Bhullar will assume charge as IGP, Border Range, Amritsar.

Bhagirath Singh Meena, presently SSP Mansa, was shifted as AIG, Personnel-1, CPO, Punjab.

Varun Sharma, presently SSP Patiala, will join as SSP SAS Nagar.

Harmandeep Singh Hans, currently SSP SAS Nagar, will be the new SSP of Patiala.

Suhail Qasim Mir is transferred as SSP Bathinda; Jyoti Yadav as Commandant, 82nd Battalion, PAP, Chandigarh and Vaibhav Choudhary is now SSP Mansa.
