PM Modi To Chair 7 PM CCS Meet On West Asia Crisis Preparedness In Delhi

The Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) will convene a high-level meeting at 7 PM today in New Delhi to review the escalating crisis in West Asia and its potential implications for India. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will chair the meeting, which is expected to focus on contingency planning, evacuation measures for Indian nationals in the region, and securing energy and trade interests. Senior ministers including the Defence, Home, External Affairs, and Finance Ministers are likely to attend, alongside top security and intelligence officials. The discussion will assess diplomatic outreach efforts and coordination with key partners to ensure regional stability and safeguard India’s strategic assets. With tensions in West Asia affecting global oil prices and maritime routes, the government is treating this as a top national security priority. The PM is expected to take stock of preparedness across ministries and direct next steps for rapid response.
