This is History (925)

We need to reject any politics that targets people because of race or religion. This isn't a matter of political correctness. It's a matter of understanding what makes us strong. The world respects us not just for our arsenal; it respects us for our diversity and our openness and the way we respect every faith.

Rafalle ...

I'm at my favourite Coffee Shop for my mid-day Cuppa. Seated at the adjacent Table is a Gentleman who I am 100% sure is a Fauji. He looks up from the Newspaper he's reading ....does a Cheers action with his cup and says...

Gentleman: What a Rainy Day...

Me: Yes.... I think now we've had a fill of the Monsoon this year...

G: Yes....some more rains and the Wife will use me as a Clothes Hanger to dry clothes....another thing at least I've had a fill of is RaGa's lies...

M: Yes I note from Social Media he gets caught everytime he opens his mouth...

G:First and foremost Modi's not taken away Contract to make Rafalles in India from  HAL and given it to Ambani.... all 36 Rafalles to be made in France...if in future Rafalles  have to be made in India it'll be a different Contract..

M: Has Ambani got a Deal worth € 20 Billion...

G: No. India will pay € 8.9 billion for the 36 Rafalles. And as per offset obligations imposed by India, Dassault will have to source 50% Make in India. Although Rahul Gandhi had initially alleged that Reliance will benefit by € 4 billion, approximately the entire offset amount, later he added € 16 billion for “Rafalle  lifecycle Contract” that Reliance was supposed to get. No such lifecycle Contract exists....so no such Contract signed...

M: Is Reliance the Sole Offset Indian Company partnering Dassault...

G: No.... there are 72 Companies.... one Company amongst these 72 is Dassault Reliance Aerospace. And it's not solely for Rafalle Project.... can be for any Dassault Project....HAL will get work via Snecma HAL Aerospace Ltd.....and this JV will make parts for Rafalle's M88 Engine.... Reliance is doing work for Dassault's Falcon Jet in its Nagpur facility...

M: Why choose Reliance as a Partner when Reliance has no experience...

G: Reliance has purchased Pipavav which  builds Ships for Defence Sector. And Pipavav has been in business for more than a Decade. Why in 2012 Dassault had tied up with Mukesh's Reliance .... which also had no experience.  And its up to Dassault who they choose. And why should India be bothered when Dassault Reliance Aerospace will not be making anything for 36 Rafalles India has ordered..

M: What is Hollande's allegation ...

G: First and foremost Hollande is a sworn Socialist....so he's against the current French Government Politically and Ideologically..... he doesn't like Modi as Modi has taken away  power from Left and Left  of Centre Parties in India. A Company owned by Modi Hater Anurag Kashyap in which  Reliance Entertainment has a stake..... made a picture for Hollande's girlfriend..... so this is embarassing Hollande.....is getting his support so cheap....

M: And now I hear Hollande has distanced himself from his earlier comment that India forced Reliance on Dassault and now says he doesn't know ....only Dassault knows.. and Dassault and French Government have already said it was Dassault's Commercial decision...rumoured Marcon made it clear to Hollande that he would be forced to reveal relevant portions of Minutes of the meeting between Hollande and Modi...so what next...

G: There has to be a next step..... I presume now a bogus List will be conjured with some bogus payment details.... or a list to show Ambani was last in the list of probable Contractors but still made the cut....

M: Yes Congress has a Dirty Tricks Department that has a fertile imagination.... how can we forget St. Kitts lie and VP Singh..

M: Gandhi-kull reet sadha challi aayi.....Dushmano ke khilaaf jhoot ka ambaar hamesha layi....

G: Rafalle.... Rahul Again Fails All Lies and Lafdas Exposed...

We have a goof laugh... pay out tabs and go our ways...

Babus Find Politics More Vibrant To Serve The People

By Sanjay Sharma

Much has been said from time to time on the merits and demerits of bureaucrats joining politics. It has also been debated for long whether there should be a ‘cooling off’ period for a civil servant before he enters politics after quitting or even after retirement.

While difference of opinion over these issues can never be ruled out, there could be no two opinions that, theoretically bureaucrats are most eligible and efficient persons for becoming politicians as they are well acquainted with ground realities - necessary for policy formation.

Having worked at various stages - at district level as collectors, at state level in secretariat and , in majority cases, at various positions in central government, they are supposed to be well versed with the ‘process of policy implementation’ - a boon to serve the nation  in their stint as a politician and as a minister in government in particular,.

But since the officers rarely have the freedom to work as they please, and are mostly employed in service of politicians and not the State, many of them  - eyeing politics as a vibrant medium of serving the nation - join it.

There is a long list of former bureaucrats, police officers, diplomats, technocrats, academics and army officers who are into politics.

They include familiar names like General VK Singh, Kiran Bedi, Ms. Meira Kumar, Hardeep Puri, RK Singh, Sanjiv Tripathi, Mani Shankar Aiyar, N K Singh, Satyapal Singh, Bhagirath Prasad, Yashwant Sinha, Ajit Jogi, Nagabhairava Jayaprakash Narayan, Alphons Kannanthanam, Jesudasu Seelam, J Sundara Sekhar, Arvind Kejriwal, PL Punia and the list goes on.........
