Piyush Goyal is  39th Railway Minister of India. He is said to be the ninth in the last eight years.

One minister with two resources

One minister in Modi cabinet has two resources. Satya Pal Singh, retired IPS officer, has been given two resource ministries. He will be MoS Human Resource and Water Resource.

Performers got reward

Four MoS in NDA govt - Dharmendra Pradhan, Piyush Goyal, Nirmala Sitaraman and Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi were real performers. According to observers they have been promoted to Cabinet rank because of their best result oriented performance.

Professionals made ministers

M Modi this time gave preference to professionals and performers. Hardip Singh Puri, R K Singh, Satya Pal Singh and Alphanso K were inducted on the basis of their past performances.

Will Modi’s dream of eliminating corruption come true ?

Terming corruption as one of the greatest challenge, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called for special initiatives to end the menace in the next five years with the pledge of  'Karenge Aur Kar Ke Rahenge' (We will do and surely do). He said the menace of corruption has adversely impacted the development journey of the country and has eaten the polity from the inside but will he be able to accomplish the task ? Can corruption be eliminated in India ?
