Will AINR Congress-BJP alliance in Puducherry last long ?

Will the All India NR Congress-BJP alliance in Puducherry continue after poll results on May 2. The alliance is yet to reach an understanding on the CM candidate. While AINR Congress leader Rangasamy has made it clear that he will be the CM if the alliance wins, sources say, the BJP instead wants A Namasivayam for the top job even if it means support from elsewhere.

What is in store for Amarinder Singh ?

Cricketer turned politician Navjot Singh Sidhu who has launched a tirade against his own party’s government in Punjab - demanding a ‘fair investigation’ by a new Special Investigation Team (SIT) into the sacrilege case– is not alone. He has also accused CM Amarinder Singh of colluding with the Shiromani Akali Dal, which was in power at that time. The sacrilege case refers to the desecration of the Guru Granth Sahib by miscreants and the subsequent police shooting on those protesting the desecration.  Punjab Congress chief Sunil Jakhar and minister Sukjhinder Randhawa, too are upset over the issue.
