Is Priyanka too becoming a spent force for Congress ?
It was almost two years ago when Priyanka Gandhi’s entry in active politics just ahead of Lok Sabha elections was publicized as one of the biggest events in the political realm but the results then posed a big question mark on her much touted magic and charisma. Priyanka had campaigned heavily in UP and yet failed to shore up Congress fortunes but it was attributed to her late entry. Now what would one say when the vigorous campaign mounted by Gandhi siblings – both Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra - in Assam and Kerala has failed to enthuse the voters.
Tamil Nadu Assembly has two 'Gandhis', one 'Nehru'
In Tamil Nadu, where a name may be an indicator of one's political leanings or nationalist passion or even the ideology of the parents of the individual, the 16th Assembly has two 'Gandhis' one of them a Minister, and a 'Nehru' who is also a Minister. After India's independence, many were named 'Bose' after freedom fighter Subhas Chandra Bose. Similarly, the names of 'Gandhi,' 'Nehru' and 'Jawahar' are also common in the state.

Is it justified to allow gatherings at political rallies and religious functions amidst Covid surge ?
Even as Covid cases continue to surge across the country, how far it is justified for the ‘powers that be’ to ignore implementation of Corona norms (restrictions) at political rallies in the poll bound states and religious functions ? Does the deadly virus becomes ineffective at such gatherings ?
