Rajnath Singh to stay in National Politics

Non-inclusion of Pankaj Singh, son of Rajnath Singh, in the Yogi Cabinet is an indication that the Defence Minister is going to continue in national politics. According to Modi theory, only one Member of one family will hold the post.

A 1988 batch IAS officer, A K Sharma is now Minister in the Yogi Cabinet in Uttar Pradesh. Now a couple of his batch-mates will have to call him ‘Sir’.

Does the country requires several investigative agencies to deal with economic offences ?

The buzz around is that “CDS” like post - as in Defence  - is in the offing to have a control over all the agencies dealing in economic offences. They include CBI, ED, DRI,CEI and FIU. The Modi Government  had already surprised the defence services by creating the post of “CDS”. Will it be fruitful ?
