POWERGRID conferred with PMIS Recognition of Partner Company Award

Gurugram: Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), a Maharatna PSU under the Ministry of Power, was conferred with the PMIS Recognition of Partner Company Award under the category 'Innovation in Exit Pathways' on Friday, 14th August 2026. The award was received by Dr. Yatindra Dwivedi, Director (Personnel), along with B. K. Mundu (ED-HRD) and team, from Dr. Pallavi Jain Govil, Secretary (MCA), in the presence of Sh. Anshuman Patnaik, Additional Secretary, and Sh. D. Balamurugan, Joint Secretary, at the ceremony held by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.

The Prime Minister Internship Scheme (PMIS) was launched in December 2024, and POWERGRID has joined as a partner company in this prestigious scheme on a pan-India basis. Till December 2025, POWERGRID has actively participated in both the Pilot Rounds 1 & 2 and offered a total of 6,265 internship opportunities under PMIS.

To provide better employment opportunities, POWERGRID has facilitated, in coordination with the Sector Skill Council, i.e. Power Sector Skill Council (PSSC), the uploading of the details of all PMIS interns, who have undergone training in POWERGRID, on the Rozgaar portal of PSSC, and all the agencies working in the field of power transmission have been informed suitably about the exit pathways. This also covers candidates undergoing Apprenticeship training under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961, and the skill development initiative of POWERGRID in the area of Power Transmission Line Tower Erection & Stringing.
