RECPDCL Hands Over Luhri Power Transmission Ltd to Terralight Solar Energy

REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), a wholly owned subsidiary of REC Limited, a Maharatna CPSU under the Ministry of Power, handed over Luhri Power Transmission Limited, the project-specific Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV), to the successful bidder, M/s Terralight Solar Energy Tinwari Private Limited, on 21 August 2026.

M/s Terralight Solar Energy Tinwari Private Limited emerged as the successful bidder through the Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) process conducted by RECPDCL, the Bid Process Coordinator, for establishment of “Transmission system for Evacuation of Power from Sunni Dam HEP and Luhri Stage-1 HEP” on a Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT) basis.

The SPV was handed over by Rajkumar Sonkar, HoD (CS), RECPDCL, to Mr. Nitin Mahajan, General Manager (Bidding), Terralight Solar Energy Tinwari Private Limited, in the presence of Shri Ratnesh Kumar, GM (Engg.), RECPDCL, and other senior officials from RECPDCL, Terralight Solar Energy Tinwari Private Limited and Central Transmission Utility of India Limited.

The transmission project broadly envisages establishment of 400/220 kV GIS Nange Pooling Station in Himachal Pradesh, 400 kV Nange PS to Koldam D/c line of 50 kms along with other associated works. The project is scheduled for commissioning by 15.10.2029, i.e., matching with the schedule of the hydro generation projects (SDHEP/LHEP-I), at an estimated cost of Rs. 839.55 crores.
