Tenure of Director General of Police, Karnataka extended

The Karnataka Government has extended tenure of Director General and Inspector General of Police (DGP-IGP) Dr. Alok Mohan until May 21. According to service norms, Dr. Alok Mohan was scheduled to retire on April 30. However, citing a Supreme Court directive that mandates a fixed two-year term for the state police chief, the government decided to extend his tenure until May 21.
