Tribunal Members to be picked by  Search-cum-Selection Committee

Under the Tribunals Reforms Act, 2026, Members of Tribunals specified in the First Schedule shall be appointed by the Central Government on the recommendation of a Search-cum-Selection Committee constituted by the National Tribunals Commission. For selection of Tribunal Members, the Committee shall comprise a Judicial Member of the Commission as Chairperson, a Technical Member of the Commission, a retired High Court Judge, a Secretary to the Government of India nominated by the Central Government, two expert members and the Secretary to the Commission as Member Secretary.
