Water storage level increases by 4%

With the revival of rain water level of reservoirs are increasing substantially. According to available information the water storage available in 91 major reservoirs of the country for the week ending on August 16, 2018 was 84.743 BCM which is 52% of total storage capacity of these reservoirs. 4 per cent increase have been recorded. In spite of that,  Tripura, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh are having lesser storage than last year.
